support girls in vulnerable situations

At Favela Street, we developed the Future Leading Player programme to support girls in vulnerable situations in building their self-image and confidence. Over a six-month journey, we guide them to grow into strong role models within their own communities.

Since 2022, we have been running the programme in collaboration with local youth work in Eindhoven. The girls participate in trainings focused on leadership, storytelling and sport, led by inspiring role models from the neighbourhood.

We conclude the programme with a public storytelling event for friends, family, and everyone involved – a powerful moment of collective healing and recognition. As a final celebration, we also host the national Time To Shine <insert hyperlink> street football tournament: an inspiring stage where girls come together to celebrate talent, express their authenticity, and shine through football.
