Future Leading Player is Favela Street’s intensive leadership and personal development program for girls aged 15–19. Built around the power of 4x4 street football, the program creates a safe, energetic space where young women grow into confident leaders in their own communities.

More than a program; a movement

Future Leading Player runs in six communities in the Netherlands, on Curaçao, and in Rio de Janeiro. Everywhere we work, we use the same proven Favela Street methodology — always adapted to the local context, culture, and challenges of the neighbourhood. Because real impact starts with understanding the community.

11 modules. Real skills. Real impact.

The program consists of 11 powerful modules focused on:

• Leadership & conflict resolution

• Self-awareness & resilience

• Personal story journey & public speaking

• Decision-making & goal setting

• Community engagement & social responsibility

Participants don’t just learn, they do. They organize and lead 4x4 street football activities, coach younger participants, and help create community events. Through hands-on experience, they discover their voice, build professional skills, and strengthen their future opportunities in education and work.

Learning from role models

Throughout the program, participants connect with inspiring guest speakers, female leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers who share their journeys and open new perspectives. If she can see it, she can be it.

Measurable growth

We don’t just talk about impact, we measure it. Using our impact measurement tool, we track personal growth in confidence, leadership, and life skills. This ensures every participant’s development is visible, valued, and continuously strengthened.

When one rises, the ripple begins

We believe in the strength, talent, and potential of young women. When one girl steps forward as a leader, she inspires others. Families grow stronger. Communities grow safer. Futures grow brighter.
