General information

The Favela Street foundation was established on December 11, 2014. Our aim is to empower young people to take responsibility for their own futures and at the same time impact their communities – creating a positive ripple effect, through the power of sports.

Favela Street is recognised as an Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling – ANBI (Public Benefit Organisation) by the Dutch tax authority. We are registered as a stichting (foundation) with the KVK no. 62319175 (Dutch Chamber of Commerce). It’s RSIN number is 854765025.

The board manages the foundation’s assets through independent decision making. The assets of the foundation are used for projects that meet the goals and it will be ensured that there is a reasonable relationship between costs and spendings.

Reward policy

The board members do not receive any remuneration or reimbursement of expenses. They are, however, entitled to reimbursement of the costs incurred by them within the performance of their position.

Financial reporting

As soon as current annual reports and annual accounts are available, they will be published on our website here. Click here for reports of the recently carried out activities and financial accounts.

Standard forms

Since 2020, large Dutch organisation with ANBI status must publish their financial results in a standard format on their website. Favela Street is required to publish the Standard Form for Fundraising Institutions (“Standaardformulier publicatieplicht Fondswervende instellingen”).
